GREELEY, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Long-time northern Colorado physician, Dr. Kurt Dallow, has joined the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies as a specialist in sports medicine, taking care of athletes in team and individual sports, from youth to the college level.

During his career, Dr. Dallow has been a family physician, a sports medicine specialist, and a faculty physician at a residency program, training new doctors in the specialty of family medicine.

Dr. Dallow has worked with other medical offices in northern Colorado in Yuma, Eaton, Windsor, and Greeley, since 1983. He also served as one of the team physicians from 1989 until May 2016 for the University of Northern Colorado’s Department of Athletics.
Dr. Dallow is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, the world’s largest organization of sports medicine and exercise science professionals.
He and his family have been residents of northern Colorado since they moved to the area in 1983, when he completed his residency training program in family medicine in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Dr. Dallow earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado Medical School (1980), and his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University (1976).
He has held board certification in family medicine since 1983, and a certification in his specialty of sports medicine since 1993.
Dr. Dallow’s career in medicine includes practice with the Yuma District Hospital (1983-85), Eaton Family Practice (1985-88), Windsor Family Physicians (1990-96), and the North Colorado Family Medicine Residency Program (1996-2016).
His training of new family medicine physicians at the residency program was recognized with the “Teacher of the Year” award in 2016 by the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Dallow spends time with his wife Cindy, competes in off-road triathlons, and enjoys winter sports, swimming, and gardening. The Dallows have two adult sons and two daughters.
