MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Dungarvin Inc. announced effective June 1, 2016 it had purchased ACI Support Specialists, Inc. of North Carolina. With the completion of this transaction Dungarvin expands its footprint into North Carolina.
“This acquisition is unique for Dungarvin with respect that substantially all of ACI’s leadership team, including three of the four current owners, will remain with the company as it joins Dungarvin,” stated Dungarvin’s President and CEO, Dave Toeniskoetter. “We are excited to be welcoming ACI Support Specialists, Inc. into the Dungarvin organization!” Dan Griffin, Regional Director, added, “ACI is a company that truly lives its mission! They really see the possibilities of all the people we touch – people we support, their families and friends, our staff and our communities. I am very much looking forward to learning from and working with the ACI team.”
ACI provides supports to more than 450 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as well as approximately 190 children in therapeutic foster care. ACI will become Dungarvin’s fourth largest state program, by revenue.
For the first year ACI Support Specialists, Inc. will continue to operate under its own name. During the next year Dungarvin plans to carefully strategize for the full integration of ACI into the Dungarvin organization while assimilating practices that have made ACI a “provider of choice” in North Carolina.
