Red Bull Partners with Capcom to Host 2016 Capcom Pro Tour North American Finals at Red Bull Battle Grounds This November

Red Bull Proving Grounds Qualifying Events to be Held Across North America For Hopeful Street Fighter® V Champions

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--()--Today, Red Bull Media House announced a partnership with Capcom to host the Capcom Pro Tour North American Finals at Red Bull Battle Grounds from November 4-6 at the Seattle Exhibition Hall. Red Bull Battle Grounds is a unique event on the eSports professional circuit that gives athletes a platform to compete at their peak, and delivers unparalleled access, excitement and entertainment to eSports enthusiasts worldwide. This year, the finals will feature more than 1,000 participants battling it out for the crown of Street Fighter® V national champion.

Red Bull has also released details of Red Bull Proving Grounds, the regional qualifying events series where amateur players across the country can earn a coveted seat at Battle Grounds in Seattle. Red Bull Proving Grounds will form the first-ever amateur ranking and tournament series for fighting games. Amateur players across North America will have the chance to qualify by competing in regional qualifiers in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Toronto.

Each Red Bull Proving Grounds event will be partnered with existing tournaments across the country and organized by some of the biggest and most well-respected people in the fighting game community:

Winners from each region will be flown to the Red Bull Santa Monica eSports Studio to battle it out and crown one winner to be seated in the Red Bull Battle Grounds Finals bracket.

All of the regional events are open for the public to enter and compete in, as well as streamed live for fans at home on Twitch. Tickets for the events are on sale now and registration is open for anyone aspiring to be a champion!
