NEW YORK--()--TechCrunch today announced 20 participants for the Startup Battlefield at this year's TechCrunch Disrupt New York. The annual conference brings together young startups and tech luminaries to share innovation, insights and to uncover what's next in the startup world. At the very heart of Disrupt, Startup Battlefield launches promising, under-the-radar companies to a global audience on tech's biggest stage.

From Monday, May 9 through Wednesday, May 11, Startup Battlefield gathers founders to demo their new, unseen products in front of a world-class judging panel of innovators, investors and venture capitalists. This year’s Battlefield judges include the best and brightest of the startup and venture world, including John Borthwick (Betaworks), Charles Hudson (Precursor Capital), Alfred Lin (Sequoia Capital) and Susan Lyne (BBG Ventures).

“TechCrunch’s Startup Battlefield is unique platform for startups to showcase the future of business and technology,” said Ned Desmond, COO of TechCrunch. “We’re excited to announce this year’s group of competitors and look forward to watching them engage with our judges, Disrupt attendees and viewers online.”
