University of Phoenix Awards 23 Full-Tuition Scholarships in Honor of Teacher Appreciation Week

Scholarship program aids teachers looking to fulfill their dreams of higher education

PHOENIX--()--In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2–6), University of Phoenix today announced the recipients of this year’s Teacher Appreciation Scholarships. With this full-tuition scholarship, recipients have the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education at University of Phoenix. Now in its fourth year, The Teacher Appreciation Scholarship program is one of the many ways University of Phoenix® College of Education is helping prepare teachers to become leaders in their classrooms and careers. To date, 150 full-tuition scholarships have been awarded to deserving recipients.

“Teachers do amazing things in the classroom every day to inspire creativity, curiosity and student success,” said Pamela Roggeman, Ed.D., academic dean for University of Phoenix College of Education. “The Teacher Appreciation Scholarship program allows University of Phoenix to acknowledge outstanding teachers by helping them grow in their field, and also provide prospective teachers with the opportunity to realize their dreams of teaching.“
