BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation announced the appointment of Marc Ginsky as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Mr. Ginsky will oversee the Foundation’s day-to-day operations with a focus on field management, information technology and the Foundation’s infrastructure. He will report to and work alongside Dr. Preston W. Campbell, III, president and chief executive officer, to advance the Foundation’s mission to cure cystic fibrosis and help people with the disease live longer, healthier lives.

Mr. Ginsky brings more than 18 years of experience from the health care industry, with a focus on expanding patient access to life-changing treatments. He joins the Foundation from Covance – a leading contract research organization supporting clinical trials and market access needs of its clients. He served as the vice president and general manager of the Market Access Services division since 2007. In this role, he helped lead a business that developed and managed patient support programs for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as well as provided health economics consulting support to these organizations. Prior to that, he worked in Covance’s legal department in roles of increasing responsibility from 1998 to 2006, supporting all aspects of the drug development and market access businesses of the company. Before joining Covance, Marc was a corporate attorney in private practice for 10 years.

Mr. Ginsky earned an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School. He completed his undergraduate studies in accounting and finance at the SUNY at Buffalo School of Management.
