CASSOPOLIS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--To continue providing the highest level of technical support to customers, ICM Products, a U.S. based silicone manufacturer, has commissioned a new 2,300 square feet R&D facility. As well as relocating existing equipment, much additional equipment has also been installed and commissioned.
Mr. Levi Cottington, CEO of the ICM Silicones Group, explained the reasons for the investment: “Since ICM Products was founded, our reputation has been built on our ability to solve our customers’ issues by creating custom solutions. Our new lab represents a significant enhancement of this capability. It is a continuation of the investments we are making to support our customers globally.”
“This is an exciting new development for everyone at ICM Products,” said Dr. Pete LeBaron, Vice President of Technology at ICM Products. “As our business and product offerings continue to grow we are constantly seeking ways to improve our lab and plant operations in order to develop new products faster and better serve our customers.” To compliment this expansion of their R&D facilities ICM Products has hired additional chemists and lab technicians to work alongside the existing team
Further improvements that will continue in 2016 will allow production to increase throughput, reduce cycle time, and tighten the specification range and reproducibility of all our product lines. “We will use these new resources to push the technical boundaries of our products and provide tangible benefits to the end user,” added Dr. LeBaron.
