TAIPEI, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--COMPUTEX TAIPEI, the leading global ICT show with a complete supply chain, invites startups to exhibit and network with international VCs and angel investors, potential technology partners and buyers, and startup accelerators at its new InnoVEX exhibit. The 36th annual professional ICT trade show will take place from May 31st to June 4th, 2016.
The ICT advantages in Taiwan make InnoVEX the best choice for startups seeking strategic partners to further commercialize their innovative ideas. Taiwan has a complete supply chain in ICT sectors and strong business and technology partnership capabilities for Internet of Things (IoT) developers.
According to Gartner, by 2017, 50 percent of IoT solutions (typically a product combined with a service) will originate in startups that are less than three years old. InnoVEX was created to showcase and assist startups that are driving the creation and adoption of IoT solutions.
InnoVEX, scheduled to be held from May 31st to June 2nd, for three days during COMPUTEX, will feature exhibits, keynotes, forums, demos, matchmaking, pitch contests with a winning prize of $30,000 USD, and networking events to maximize innovative, technological, and investment exchanges to help startups succeed. Keynote and forum topics include VCs and accelerators, smart cars, smart wearables, and virtual reality. Startups, incubation centers or startup associations focusing on IoT or e-commerce products or services are eligible to exhibit individually or as a group at InnoVEX, where they will have access to thousands of COMPUTEX exhibitors and more than 130,000 attendees from over 162 countries. The space application kit and login are available here.
“Taiwan has a long history of entrepreneurship, innovation, technology and manufacturing partnerships including rapid prototyping and strong intellectual property protections. InnoVEX brings together the players continuing that tradition today and provides an ideal landscape for sharing information and building relationships across an entire supply chain,” said Walter Yeh, executive vice president of COMPUTEX organizer TAITRA.
More than 150 startups are expected to exhibit at InnoVEX. Current registrants include over 30 startups that won globally recognized pitch awards from over 10 countries. Award-winning InnoVEX exhibitors include CareMonkey, Dronamics, BLOCKS, KonoLabs, Connecterra, and Lucid VR.
Besides its wealth of strategic partners and innovation track record, the Taiwanese government recently committed $80M USD to invest in foreign and domestic startups and launched the Taiwan Startups Accelerators Program to help startups build international connections.
