DENTON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Travelstead, site of the award-winning Oaktopia Festival, and Audacity Brew House, the first brewery in Denton, Texas, today announced a collaboration to bring North Texas’ premier brewpub experience to the heart of historic downtown Denton: the Audacity Brew House at Travelstead. Slated to open in late 2016, the facility will focus on creating a complete craft beer concept, from the brews created onsite to the hops-inspired menu. This project is the culmination of shared passion by an active team of folks who love creating and lifting up the Denton community. With willing hearts, creative minds and strong work ethics, the combination of the team that has brought you LSA Burger Co. and Barley & Board combined with the highly skilled team of Audacity Brew House will bring to life an experience that not only honors the history of Travelstead but also provides an amazing view into the world of craft brewing.
Located across a complete city block from East Oak to East Hickory, Travelstead will give guests the chance to encounter both the historical structures and the treed outdoor setting that makes this one of the most unique urban places to explore and enjoy. From Ulric Clyde Travelstead (friends called him “Trap”) to Bob Storie who helped thousands of people keep their motors and lives running, the new team with Audacity Brew House at Travelstead is dedicated to pay homage to their memories by creating a place where people will come to be uplifted and loved.

A Grand Opening is expected later this year. The new brewing facility will have the capacity to produce 10,000 barrels a year — the equivalent of nearly 30,000 gallons a month — of Denton’s finest craft beer, which will be available both onsite or to take-home in growlers. This will include all of your current favorites from the Audacity lineup, plus an ever-changing collection of specialty beers created and served only at Audacity Brew House at Travelstead. Additionally, the brewpub will provide patrons with the option of purchasing homemade sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages. Exceptional Chef-driven, beer-inspired cuisine will make dining here a must as well.

The roughly 8,000-square foot existing structures will remain and be adapted to a state of the art brewery, culinary kitchen, specialty market as well as an outdoor entertainment environment rivaling any of the best in North Texas. Music, dining, markets, and other outdoor activities will exist within Travelstead.
