SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SKTA Innopartners announces Etopus Technology Inc. and Pavilion Data Systems, Inc. successfully raised their Series A funding rounds.
SKTA Innovation Accelerator incubates technology startups and matches entrepreneurs with strategic partners, investors and a team of highly experienced executives. The Accelerator provides seed stage startups with technical and market guidance to rapidly develop minimum-viable products for the right market segments in order to become venture ready. eTopus and Pavilion were the first two startups to receive funding and locate in the Accelerator. They are the first two companies to successfully secure their next round of funding.
Founded by veterans of the storage and data networking industries, Pavilion Data Systems, Inc. addresses the rapidly evolving need for fast data by offering a new class of systems that offers breakthrough performance and radical simplicity. Pavilion’s $15 million Series A round was co-led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Artiman, with SKTA also participating in the syndicate.
“The resources provided by the Accelerator in terms of introductions, facilities, and the feedback from the monthly Advisory Board meetings, together with our flawless execution in delivering a successful beta resulted in a highly over-subscribed funding round,” said Kiran Malwankar, founder and CEO of Pavilion Data Systems, Inc. “I’m ecstatic to immediately grow our core team and accelerate toward a successful product launch.”
eTopus Technology Inc. is a mixed signal startup with deep signal processing expertise, providing best-in-class high-speed interface silicon interconnecting cloud data center resources. SKTA Innopartners led the Series A round syndicated with strategic partners, cross-border funds and others.
“This is the culmination of a lot of hard work and sacrifices from our core team,” said Harry Chan, CEO of eTopus. “This is a major milestone to the company. With the new funding, we can focus on product development, sales and marketing. Working in a world-class facility with helpful coaching along the way, enabled us to focus on product development.”
SKTA Innopartners has invested over $1 million and dedicated one year to helping these startup companies become venturable. Both companies have exhibited a tenacity to be successful and are well on their way to being flagship ambassadors for the Innovation Accelerator.
