INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rook Security, a managed threat response force that anticipates, manages and eliminates threats, today announced that founder and CEO J.J. Thompson was selected as a member of the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 2016 Forty Under 40. A reception recognizing the Forty Under 40 honorees will take place on Tuesday, February 9, at the Skyline Club.
A committee of IBJ staff members and prior Forty Under 40 honorees had the difficult task of choosing the 24th Forty Under 40 class with over 200 nominations made by readers and IBJ staff. New members of the Forty Under 40 are chosen for the success he or she has achieved in their chosen field, their accomplishments in the community and the likelihood that the nominee will stay in Indianapolis to build on those achievements.
In the last two years, Rook Security scaled from 18 full-time employees to a work force of 62 employees – the majority of which graduated from IT programs taught at local universities. In addition to monitoring and defending their clients against cyber threats that could compromise sensitive company information, Rook Security has spent the last several years aiding and collaborating with state, local and federal agencies to improve the readiness of the State of Indiana and its businesses to have the right tools and processes in place to defend against cyber attacks on critical infrastructure.
