MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HyTrust Inc., the Cloud Security Automation Company, today announced that Ashwin Krishnan has been appointed Senior VP of Product Management. A veteran of both startups and established enterprises, Mr. Krishnan brings to his new role more than two decades of experience spanning product management, marketing, strategy and business development. He will be responsible for developing product strategy while leading the product and program management teams.

Mr. Krishnan was most recently Head of Products (Senior Director), Software Networking Business at Brocade Communications Systems, Inc., which specializes in data and storage networking products. In that capacity he had business responsibility for NFV and SDN products (virtual router, firewall, VPN, ADC/load balancer and SDN controller), and built a team of top-tier product management and technical marketing professionals. Before that he was VP, Product Management at Versa Networks, which enables service providers and enterprises to transform the WAN and branch network through NFV solutions for vCPE, SD-WAN and branch security.
Earlier in his career he spent more than eight years at Juniper Networks, the last six of them as Senior Director, Product Management. During this time he supervised the Virtual Security, SRX and NetScreen product lines, and also had overall responsibility for the mobile service provider security strategy. He also spent three years at telecom giant Nokia, where, among other responsibilities, he helped manage market analysis, requirements analysis and product definition responsibilities for mobile infrastructure product.
Mr. Krishnan is widely recognized as an industry thought leader, and has presented at prestigious events such as VMworld, Mobile World Congress, 4GWorld, Layer123 and SDN World Congress. He is also a prolific blogger and author, and has advised numerous startups on market strategies and tactical initiatives.
