MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Maggie Barreto Tercilla, a partner at Avila Rodriguez Hernandez Mena & Ferri LLP (ARHMF), a South Florida law firm representing domestic and international businesses and investors across multiple practice areas, received Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Miami’s 2015 “Networking Deal of the Year” award in the category of Transactions Valued Above $2MM.
Maggie Barreto Tercilla received the award at CREW’s annual luncheon for her representation of GoldenPeaks Capital Real Estate, an investment and management company, in acquiring the luxury SLS South Beach Hotel, a 140-room beachfront hotel in Miami Beach, Florida with several restaurants, including The Bazaar by José Andrés, Katsuya by Starck, The Terrace, Bar Centro, and the famed Hyde Beach Club. The $125 million deal closed on June 6, 2015 and represents GoldenPeaks Capital Real Estate’s entry into the U.S. hospitality market.
This is the second consecutive year that an attorney from ARHMF receives the prestigious CREW Miami award.
Another Partner in ARHMF’s Real Estate practice, Monica Cunill-Fals, received the 2014 ‘Networking Deal of the Year’ award for her representation of Espacio Miami Properties, LLC in the sale of a commercial property in downtown Miami across from the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts valued at approximately $57 million.
