DARMSTADT, Germany & STUTTGART, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--German start-ups GYMWATCH and GYM AESTHETICS have entered a partnership to co-market and sell their fitness fashion, fitness trackers, fitness apps and online training programs together. The companies will be exhibiting at CES 2016 in the Sports Tech Marketplace in the Sands, Halls A-C, Booth 73264.
Fitness-fashion label GYM AESTHETICS has been shaking up the fitness-clothing category since 2013 with its trend-setting designer clothing for bodybuilders and gym fanatics. Last spring at the Fibo Global Fitness event in Cologne, Germany, crowds swarmed the GYM AESTHETICS booth to purchase the fitness fashions and take selfies with the GYM AESTHETICS athletes.
GYMWATCH gained attention in 2014 when it debuted its first product, the GYMWATCH Sensor, which is the first and only fitness tracker that precisely measures the full range of motion and strength expended in every type of exercise—more than 900 of them—and provides real-time feedback to help users properly perform the exercises. All data is sent in real time via Bluetooth to a companion app that delivers a personal trainer experience.
"The customers for both of our product lines share the common goals of wanting to maximize their workout and look great doing it. It makes a lot of sense to market our products together,” said Fabian Walke, co-founder and CEO of GYMWATCH.
"A lot of big fitness brands like Under Armour and Nike have developed or snapped up fitness apps in order to offer digital sports products in their portfolio. Partnering with GYMWATCH enables our two companies to more effectively compete with these brands,” said Aleksandar Duric, co-founder and managing director of GYM AESTHETICS.
