DeepSQL Earns Gold Award for “Best New Product of the Year – Enterprise” from Best in Biz

World’s only adaptive database engine delivers breakthrough MySQL performance and scale, disrupting database market

BOSTON--()--Deep Information Sciences, the company that reimagined MySQL for the on-demand economy, today announced it has won the Gold award for “Best New Product of the Year – Enterprise” by Best in Biz, the only independent business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts. This award comes on the heels of last week’s accolade, when DeepSQL adaptive database engine was named to Database Trends and Applications magazine’s prestigious list of 2016 trend-setting products.

The fifth annual North America Best in Biz program boasted the highest number of submissions to date, with more than 600 entries. Winners were determined based on scoring from a panel of 46 judges. DeepSQL earned the top spot for its unique ability to create data environments that auto-adapt to changing application conditions and vastly accelerate database performance, speed and scale.

“What impressed me about this year’s entries was their depth, variety and energy,” said Dale Dauten, a syndicated columnist and book author who has served on every judging panel during the past five years of Best in Biz Awards. “Studying these entries, you feel the rush of relentless creativity. Hang on for the ride—the engine of innovation is racing ahead.”

“Data is the key to the on-demand economy, making databases and their ability to perform at scale more important than ever. But this also means that the millions of databases being deployed must be continually tuned for changing conditions and have the ability to elastically scale. DeepSQL is purpose-built to handle these challenges,” said Chad Jones, Chief Strategy Officer at Deep Information Sciences. “We’re excited that Best in Biz’s distinguished judges recognize DeepSQL’s disruptive potential and the tremendous need for a solution that self-tunes the database and scales MySQL-based applications to meet the inevitable data tsunami that every business will face.”

DeepSQL is the world’s only adaptive database engine. It transforms MySQL into a perpetually self-tuning, massively scalable and highly performant database, across cloud, virtual and physical environments. Leveraging fundamentally new computer science and machine learning, and using the MySQL interface businesses know, DeepSQL delivers unprecedented speed and flexibility and scales to hundreds of billions of rows, without requiring application changes. The result is an adaptive MySQL that tunes to meet the demands of the application, enabling far greater performance without trial and error or even needing a DBA.
