INDIALANTIC, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FracTEL, (www.fractel.net), the pioneering provider of next-generation, cloud-based telecommunications systems, today announced it has signed with Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) to provide comprehensive, cloud-based telecom services.
The agreement calls for FracTEL to provide local, long distance and toll-free telephone service for the main FIT campus, to integrate remote locations, and to provide a state-of-the art video conferencing capability for the educational institution’s new media center. It also provides for the two organizations to assess the opportunities for developing business process applications that integrate with other FIT information systems using FracTEL’s patented, feature-based Cloud PBX system and service.
"When we switched our telecom service to FracTEL, the installation was simple and trouble free,” said Hilary Shrey, Telecom Operations Manager at FIT. “We view this move as very low risk, since FracTEL does not require a long-term contract for service. Moreover, uniquely among telecoms that we considered, FracTEL provides a 100% uptime guarantee SLA, further reducing risk. Since acquiring the service from FracTEL, it has been completely reliable and has delivered the promised savings. The FracTEL system also offers 256-bit encryption, both in storage and in transit, which is not readily available from other vendors. Moreover, the FracTEL Cloud-based service allows simple integration of off-site locations into a unified telecom system, and gives us the ability to develop useful tele-applications, which will help us integrate telecom with our other IT functions. We couldn’t be happier with the relationship.”
FracTEL’s enterprise-level scalability, reliability, security, and savings are unmatched in the telecom industry. Additionally, its patented core technology supports a singular capability for hyperscale deployment of cloud-based business PBX services and enables custom, business-transformative ‘Tele-apps’ through the rapid integration of its telecommunications platform with other IT systems.
Michael Crown, FracTEL President, said of the deal, “We are pleased to partner with an institution as prestigious as Florida Tech, and we are gratified to be selected from a formidable field of competitors after a very rigorous process. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
