OMB Awards Digital Service Challenge to Team ICF International and ASI Government

Team Will Deliver Transformative Learning Program to Federal Acquisition Professionals

FAIRFAX, Va.--()--ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, and ASI Government (ASI) announced today that Team ICF International and ASI Government won the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Digital Service Contracting Professional Training and Development Program challenge. The six-month pilot program began Oct. 20 and is designed to help transform the way the government builds and buys digital services.

ICF and ASI will produce and deliver the program to an initial cohort of 30 acquisition professionals. The team will work closely with the U.S. Digital Service (USDS) and Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) to deliver training using agile methodologies and hands-on assignments and incorporate feedback. Participants will later serve as business advisors to their respective agencies’ Digital Service teams.

“We are excited to be partnering with USDS and OFPP to deliver a highly innovative solution to train acquisition professionals to be digital change agents. Digital services are a fundamental component of a 21st century government,” said Jeffrey Neal, senior vice president for ICF International. “This training program, focused on increasing digital services market expertise, reform within the context of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, and flexible and iterative contract strategies, will further strengthen the role of acquisition professionals as critical enablers of digital services.”

“The Digital Service challenge presents a tremendous opportunity to train the acquisition workforce while transforming how the government purchases and realizes value from digital services,” said Dr. Timothy Cooke, president and chief executive officer of ASI. “In an era of cloud computing, mobile devices, apps and more, the sky is truly the limit in what we can do together.”

OFPP launched the challenge in May, offering up to $360,000 to the team that could develop the most innovative, compelling and effective approach. Three finalists developed initial proposals, delivered oral presentations and conducted a one-hour training session. The winning ICF-ASI program includes customized learning paths, self-directed learning, guided learning and a live digital assignment.
