DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Samsung Electronics America (SEA) today announced the U.S. availability of the wireless business IP Phone SMT-i6000 Series, including the SMT-i6011 and SMT-i6021. Powered by Wi-Fi, the SMT-i6000 Series integrates with not only Samsung Galaxy smartphones, but also with Android and iOS devices making it easy to move around and use anywhere while on the go or in the office.
“The deskphone is evolving to meet the needs of the modern office by complementing the workplace mobility movement,” said John D’Annunzio, general manager for Samsung’s Wireless Enterprise division. “Deskphones are preferred for many business circumstances, and the i6000 series of VoIP phones brings the strength of both mobility and deskphone convenience and security into a fully integrated solution.”
Designed for small to large enterprise businesses, the ergonomic designed desk phones support both wire-free and traditional wired connections. Professional businesses such as law firms, financial institutions and academic institutions require a communication solution that assures integrated connectivity. The i6000 series is intended to enable easier communication in a fast-paced, multi-device world. Both Internet phones complement Samsung’s enterprise WLAN solution by offering a suite of features and capabilities including the ability to:
- Simply set up – With integrated 802.11n Wi-Fi, set up is simple and there are no unsightly wires to hide. Or connect the phone to a traditional Internet outlet. Both phones can be easily mounted to a wall or moved as needed.
- Easily make a call – Never scramble to look up a phone number before making a call. Simply pull up the number on a smartphone, and with one click transfer the call to either i6000 series IP deskphones – useful for long phone calls or when the cellular network isn’t providing access to a high-quality call.
- Transfer calls back and forth – While on the go, mobile calls made from a smartphone can easily be transferred via Bluetooth® to either of the i6000 series IP deskphones or vice-versa with one touch.
- Make high quality calls – With HD Voice, audio on both deskphones is crystal clear.
- Identify the caller – With Smart Caller ID notification, see who is calling, reject the call with one click, or accept and transfer the call to the device of preference – providing the ability to leave the office as necessary while maintaining the call.
- Customize features – Easily set the phone to preferred height and customize programmable keys to individual preference.
“When used in conjunction with a mobile device, there are many scenarios where a wire-free deskphone can increase employee satisfaction and optimize office operations making it the best tool for the job,” D’Annuzio said. “Businesses can easily install and take full advantage of the full-range of i6000 series IP deskphones without investing in expensive cabling.”
The new i6000 wireless deskphones are available for enterprise customers through Samsung Authorized partners, found on the Samsung Partner Locator site.
