Addressing Growing Demand for Corporate Travel Solutions

NEW YORK--()--Wheels Up, the revolutionary membership-based private aviation company, announced today the promotion of industry veteran, Robert Garrymore, to President of Corporate Sales, effective immediately. As the two-year-old company continues to disrupt the space with a fast growing membership and private fleet of King Air 350i and Cessna Citation Excel/XLS, Garrymore’s promotion reinforces the Wheels Up commitment to expand its reach in the corporate marketplace. Since the company’s inception, Wheels Up has seen an increasing demand from corporate business and foresees this trend continuing. The Wheels Up Corporate Team currently services many Fortune 500 companies and their internal flight departments.

With its unparalleled flexibility and the highest safety standards in the industry, Wheels Up is increasingly the private aviation company of choice for business travelers. The company operates with an 8760 culture (24 hours a day, 365 days of the year); with a world-class Corporate Member Services team that provides around the clock support. Its member’s only fleet enables corporations with personnel on the move flexibility, reliability and cost predictability, with the added benefit of access to more airports in key corporate markets, and the ability to land on shorter runways. All aircraft are equipped with WiFi, noise elimination technology and double club seating for up to nine passengers, making Wheels Up the most intelligent private aviation solution for corporate flyers.

As seen in the recent Wheels Up testimonial advertising campaign, the company’s member’s only fleet serves as the ultimate office in the sky for leading corporate executives and industry personalities including Chris Blackwell, Founder of Island Records and Creator of Blackwell Fine Jamaican Island Rum; Irwin Simon, CEO, Hain Celestial Group; Stuart McWhorter, Chairman of Clayton Associates; and industry “Mad Boy” Richard Kirshenbaum, Chief Executive Officer, NSG / SWAT.

Garrymore has over 20 years of private jet aviation experience overseeing sales, aircraft management, flight operations and customer service. Prior to his new role with Wheels Up, Garrymore served as President of Ventures for the company, where he was instrumental in managing and overseeing its partnership with VistaJet. Before joining Wheels Up in 2013, Garrymore served as President of the largest aircraft management firm in the world, Executive Jet Management (EJM), a NetJets Inc. company. While with EJM, in addition to overseeing business development and sales growth, Garrymore was responsible for maintenance support for NetJets’ fractional fleet, as well as developing NetJets’ management business internationally.

“Bob is the perfect person to lead our Corporate Team as he knows this business inside and out,” said Kenny Dichter, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Wheels Up. “He understands the potential market for our unique business model, and how we’re the ideal solution for companies looking to begin flying private, or for executives looking to supplement an existing aviation program. Bob’s a true pro and will lead this Wheels Up team in customizing a personalized program for any size corporation.”

“Wheels Up is transforming the private aviation industry, and I couldn’t be more proud to work alongside such a dynamic group of business pioneers,” said Garrymore. “I’m excited to embark on this expanded role within our Corporate Team, and ensure Wheels Up is the definitive choice for corporate flyers.”
