The in-depth discussion panel, titled “Laying Down the Laws” and featuring representatives from the Consumer Electronics Association, Best Buy, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and ERI’s Dillon, outlined the current collection of state electronics recycling laws and explained how industry companies fit into the evolution of government-mandated electronics recycling. The discussion was moderated by Jason Linnell, of the National Center for Electronics Recycling.
During the discussion, Dillon shared ERI’s perspective on the diversity of regulatory roadmaps from state to state and how ERI has successfully navigated and set several industry standards through innovation.
