2015 International CES Asia

ARLINGTON, Va.--()--More than 200 technology companies from 15 countries around the world will debut their consumer technology innovations at the inaugural International CES AsiaTM. Owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® and co-produced by INTEX, the 2015 CES Asia will run May 25-27 in Shanghai, China, and will draw global businesses to showcase the latest products and technologies entering the Asian marketplace.

“With large retailers like JD.com participating alongside major brands such as Cadillac, Samsung, Mercedes Benz, LeTV, Twitter, Microsoft Xbox, China Mobile, Audi, Hisense, Intel, Ford, Monster, IBM, Gibson and Voxx, it is impossible to find a show in Asia with this much diversity and innovation on the show floor,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, International CES and corporate business strategy, CEA.

In addition to the companies noted above, the 2015 CES Asia will showcase the breadth and depth of innovation that defines the consumer technology industry across 14 product categories, including 3D printing, automotive, content and online, green technologies, health, home entertainment, lifestyle, mobile, robotics, smart home, sports and fitness, video gaming, video/4K Ultra HD and wearables.

“CES Asia is a great platform for promoting new products but its influence is far beyond that,” said Vincent Dou, CPO of Baichuan Technology, based in Nanjing, China. “We are very excited to launch our eco-friendly 3D pen in the Asian marketplace. Asia is an important tech hub, especially for startups, that is helping contribute to global innovation. Joining hands with CES, we’ve created the best way to showcase our products.”

Initially 20,000 gross square meters (8,500 net square meters), the CES Asia show floor has now expanded by nearly 10 percent. More than 200 companies are currently slated to exhibit, drawing from major economies including China, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States.

"CES Asia is the perfect place to showcase our products to a vibrant consumer electronics market," said Kevin Faro, co-founder of MOTA, based in San Jose, CA. with a wholly-owned factory in Shenzhen, China and offices in Hong Kong. "It's the only place on Earth you want to be right now, and we're thrilled to let key retailers and distributors in China and Asia go hands-on with the latest, most innovative electronics such as our MOTA SmartRing, the only solution for the rapidly growing nuisance of smartphone notifications. By unlocking a key market for us, CES Asia has already contributed to our success."

In addition to ground-breaking exhibits on the show floor, CES Asia will showcase a dynamic conference program with topics ranging from the Internet of Things, connectivity, 3D printing, robotics, lifestyles, smart home and sports and fitness.

“We are thrilled to take part in this inaugural 2015 International CES Asia and are looking forward to enter this tremendous market,” said Claude Guillemot, CEO, Guillemot Corporation, based in France. “With our international Thrustmaster and Hercules brands we employ the most advanced technological know-how to design the most immersive gaming gear and innovative DJ controllers. We are excited to bring to China our unique products to fulfill the enjoyment of digital entertainment users.”

"We are excited to introduce the NeuroOn to the booming market of China at CES Asia,” said Kamil Adamczyk, CEO, Intelclinic, based in San Francisco, CA and Warsaw, Poland. “The NeuroOn is a sleep mask that monitors your biological feedback to help you sleep better and feel more rested. Together with the official iOS and Android application, it creates an entire framework for reclaiming your sleep.”

More than 20,000 consumer technology professionals from 107 countries have registered for CES Asia since the launch of registration in January, of which 34.4 percent are senior-level executives. Registration includes domestic and international buyers, resellers, distributors, manufacturers, engineers, product designers, CTOs, CIOs, investment managers and others involved in purchasing decisions. Initial numbers confirm CES Asia as an international gathering place for tech industry influencers as more than half of registrants are from outside of China, with 27 percent from Europe, North America, South America, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East, and 18 percent from parts of Asia other than mainland China.
