INTERPHEX 2015

NEW YORK--()--INTERPHEX 2015 – A new range of single-use mixers provides biopharmaceutical manufacturers with improved ergonomics, an overhead, angled mixing design and a smaller footprint to maximize space and efficiency in downstream processing.

The Thermo Scientific HyPerforma Single-Use Mixers (SUM) combine the benefits of its widely used SUMs with advancements that address the requirements of single-use bioprocessors from scale-up to cGMP manufacturing. New features include optimized tubing management, advanced clean-in-place sterilization, rapid set-up and turn-around times and streamlined handling of hazardous materials.

Thermo Fisher Scientific will showcase its new HyPerforma Single-Use Mixer this week at the INTERPHEX 2015 Conference and Exhibition, April 21-23, 2015 at the Javits Center, New York City, Booth #3544.

“Our new HyPerforma SUM was developed from our vast experience in creating custom configured systems for our customers,” said Jacob McNeil, senior product manager for single-use systems at Thermo Fisher Scientific. “The need to maximize efficiency is an ongoing requirement and we redesigned our HyPerforma SUM with many of the same ergonomic benefits introduced last year in our HyPerforma single-user bioreactor, including ergonomic enhancements such as handles for enhanced system mobility.”

The new HyPerforma range now provides six capacity options – 50L, 100L, 200L, 500, 1000L and 2000L – to address customer demand for an even smaller footprint, simplified set-up and cleaning, and easy loading of Bioprocess Containers. Sight windows and level indicators were incorporated so end-users can better assess fill levels. Additional features include easy-to-manage tubing systems, DC and AC motor options, adjustable height Powdertainer hangers, rapid heat up and cool down times, and cable management trees.
