AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hypori today announced it has secured an additional $6.7 million in Series-A1 funding from multiple investors, including Green Visor Capital, bringing the company’s total funding to $13.8 million. The funding will be used to ramp-up commercial sales and execution against an aggressive business plan to meet the need of the growing virtual mobile infrastructure (VMI) market.
“Security, compliance and privacy continue to be major concerns when it comes to BYOD adoption in commercial and private sectors,” said Justin Marston, CEO of Hypori. “With our VMI platform enterprises can shield themselves from the risks of BYOD by eliminating data-at-rest, and the inherent conflict between personal and business personas.”
Hypori was founded by an experienced technology team with deep roots in mobility, security and Android development. The company’s Android Cloud Environment (ACE) platform, co-developed with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), is a mobile-first thin client solution that provides remote access to virtual mobile devices running in a private, public or hybrid cloud that can be accessed from iPads, iPhones and Android end-point devices.
Hypori was recently named a finalist in the 2015 SXSW Accelerator for enterprise and smart data technologies, and was one of only six companies invited to present in the Mobile World Congress Innovation program, featuring young companies creating the next wave of innovation in the mobile industry.
“The technology being developed at Hypori is nothing short of breathtaking,” said Simon Yoo, founder and managing partner, Green Visor Capital. “But Justin's vision is much broader than being a virtual device infrastructure company. The ability to layer onto Hypori's platform innovative security solutions, particularly with regards to customer authentications for financial transactions, for example, creates equally enormous market potential. My colleagues and I at Green Visor Capital are very excited to be backing such a stellar team.”
With support for multiple platforms and seamless integration with off-the-shelf mobile apps and Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) technologies, Hypori’s highly scalable Android-based infrastructure helps commercial and public sector organizations bridge the gap between mobile productivity and mobile security.
