ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Clinigence, a next-generation clinical business intelligence technology provider, today announced the appointment of Mark Hanna as vice president. In this role, Hanna will help continue to drive Clinigence’s innovation and to penetrate new channels and expand its presence in existing markets.
Clinigence’s technology, an analytics platform for healthcare providers to comply, manage and report to meet value-based care objectives, is poised for rapid growth. Currently, over 500 physician practices and eight Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), representing five million patients use the platform to improve patient outcomes and meet value-based performance goals. With focus on quality outcomes across the industry and the continued consolidation of provider organizations, Clinigence’s technology will be able to help healthcare organizations pinpoint individual areas where quality care can be improved. Hanna’s background, which spreads across the continuum, will provide the strategic insight to help Clinigence break into these markets.
“Clinigence is a ground-breaking company that has the technology solutions to solve some of healthcare’s largest issues, and it is ripe for casting a large footprint across the healthcare analytics sector,” said Hanna. “Clinigence’s pragmatic approach to leveraging clinical data in support of today’s value-based care models is critical in helping all healthcare organizations grow, especially in an era of rapidly shifting reimbursement.”
Hanna brings more than 20 years of healthcare technology and industry experience to Clinigence. Most recently, Hanna was on the executive team that sold Medicity to Aetna and oversaw strategic business relationships at Medicity, now a part of Aetna’s Healthagen line. In this role, Hanna was heavily involved in executing the initial infrastructure of Aetna’s value-based care initiatives. Through this experience with value-based care, Hanna was able to understand the critical need for data analytics and ability to refine real-time clinical needs for provider organizations.
“Since we founded Clinigence, we have provided our clients with cutting-edge technology to proactively address the shift to value-based models and the growing demand for quality patient care,” said Kobi Margolin, CEO of Clinigence. “Mark has the depth and breadth of experience needed to continue these traditions and to tackle the critical issues that will shape our industry and business for years to come.”
