DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Signaling a significant growth strategy, Texas-based ShowBiz Cinemas, led by President and CEO Kevin Mitchell, has announced a financial partnership with Capital One Bank and development partnerships with NewQuest Properties, BPI Realty Services and The Consortium Firm International.

ShowBiz Cinemas, which currently owns and operates 43 screens, is pleased to reveal plans for four new locations, of which three are located in the greater Houston area, with the first scheduled to open in the summer of 2015. The full expansion will double the circuit’s size to 86 screens, making ShowBiz Cinemas one of the leading privately owned theatre operators in Texas. The majority of the new complexes will represent ShowBiz Cinemas’ new, enriched footprint, which features boutique bowling catered toward families, casual gatherings for both youths and adults and corporate events.
All four locations will feature SDX screens; state-of-the-art digital projection with 3D capabilities; oversized leather seating; pristine digital sound; self-serve concession areas and a full café and bar that will offer theatre favorites in addition to an expanded menu that will enable both theatre and bowling guests to enjoy delicious items including brisket sliders, flatbread pizzas, angus burgers, chicken tenders, as well as hand-scooped Blue Bell ice cream and a full selection of Starbucks beverages. The bars will serve a complete selection of mixed drinks, premium wines, craft beers and frozen cocktails.
ShowBiz Cinemas has also started construction on an enhanced expansion at its location in Kingwood, Texas, which will add both a SDX auditorium and bar amenity to the popular Houston area theatre. Targeted to open this Christmas, SDX is ShowBiz Cinemas’ signature premium large format auditorium, which has been highly successful in its Waxahachie location. SDX amenities include oversized, plush, high quality oversized leather seating; a floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall 70 ft. screen; and immersive Dolby Atmos sound.

- Baytown, Texas; located at the southeast corner of I-10 and 146: 10 screens including SDX and 14 bowling lanes.
- Houston, Texas; located at Beltway 8 and Highway 90: 12 screens including multiple SDX auditoriums.
- Houston, Texas; Canyon Lakes, located at Beltway 8 and Wilson Road: 10 screens including SDX and 14 bowling lanes.
- Lindale, Texas; located at I-20 and Thedford Crossing: 10 screens including SDX and 14 bowling lanes.
The company also has an additional 34 screens and 44 bowling lanes under negotiation and is expected to make official announcements soon.
