NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The State of Tennessee’s official website, TN.gov, has received a VEMA Award for innovative, artistic, and creative work in the multimedia arts.
The most recent website redesign introduced a dramatic new look with media-rich content tiles, localized information, and social media interactivity. The design was influenced by a 20 percent increase in mobile usage, and optimized for a range of screen sizes – from monitors to tablets to phones – to provide easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling.
Less than a year ago, TN.gov was also ranked as the best state website in the nation by the Center for Digital Government, winning their Best of the Web award.
The VEMA Award is sanctioned and judged by the VEMA Arts & Standards Council, an invitation-only body consisting of a distinguished group of highly skilled professionals with expertise, leadership and vision in the various disciplines within the multimedia arts.
The TN.gov portal website was developed by NIC, Inc., Tennessee’s eGovernment partner since 2000.
