UQM PowerPhase® electric motor and controller systems are being used to power an all-electric mini bus built by Inter Tan-ker Ltd. in Hungary. This is the first all-electric mini bus to be approved for use by the Hungarian National Transport Authority.

The Inter Tan-ker mini bus leverages the high efficiency of the UQM PowerPhase electric motor and controller to help achieve the company’s reported range of nearly 300 kilometers (185 miles). The vehicle is equipped with the PowerPhase HD® Select 150. UQM has developed and launched several additional new products over the past 12 months dedicated to the commercial vehicle market. These heavy-duty offerings include the PowerPhase HD 220 which is now used in many heavy-duty platforms, the PowerPhase HD 950T system for applications that require increased torque, and the new PowerPhase HD 250 variant that provides solutions for customers that have higher voltage and power requirements.
