WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Essia Health today announced the addition of Rachel Leiber to lead the company’s rapidly growing electronic medical records (EMR) implementation services division, which provides go-live planning and at-the-elbow provider support. Leiber joins Essia Health from a large regional health system, where she managed multiple EMR implementation projects.
As director of EMR implementation services, Leiber oversees current and future go-live projects across the country, as well as informatics support. Leiber is based out of Essia Health’s Portland office.
“Essia Health forms long-term partnerships with healthcare systems implementing new EMR technologies. Our one-on-one EMR implementation support helps physicians and care teams quickly gain comfort and confidence with the new system so that they can continue to provide great patient care and maintain productivity throughout the go-live and beyond,” said Matthew Kirchner, president and chief executive officer. “As someone who has been in the trenches for over 75 hospital and specialty clinic go-lives, Rachel brings an outstanding track record to our EMR implementation business and can uniquely understand the needs of our customers.”
Prior to joining Essia Health, Leiber held various EMR implementation positions at Providence Health & Services. Most recently, she was the physician engagement program manager in the Epic Deployment Division, where she led the organization and readiness of Epic physician clinical champions and the large provider support team across multi-state implementations. She holds a bachelor of arts from American University in Washington, D.C., and a master of business administration from the University of Portland.
Though Essia Health’s roots began with medical scribes in 2011, the company’s services quickly expanded to include EMR implementation and ongoing informatics support. Essia Health has successfully completed more than 100 EMR go-lives with major hospital networks and specialty clinics, implementing all major EMR systems, including Epic, Cerner, McKesson and Allscripts. The company’s experienced team of EMR implementation specialists manage EMR go-live trainings, customization labs, command center operations and at-the-elbow support for physicians and care teams.
