DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--An 18-year veteran of nonprofit development who began her career in medical research has been named Vice President of Development for Susan G. Komen®, the world’s largest breast cancer organization.
Betty Wolf joins Komen today to lead a team of development professionals as she and Komen’s leadership set the strategic direction of Komen’s development and fundraising programs.
Wolf joins Komen from the Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., where she served as Vice President, Foundation, for 10 years. Previously, Wolf was the lead principal gift fundraiser for programmatic and capital campaigns at UCLA (Department of Human Genetics and the UCLA AIDS Institute) and Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif. She was named the first recipient of the Top Women in Business Corporate Leader Award by Palm Springs Life magazine in 2013.
Wolf began her career as a biomedical researcher and co-author of National Institutes of Health peer-reviewed scientific reports in cancer and genetics, including studies in breast cancer, at prestigious institutions such as Mayo Clinic, MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Chicago and the National Human Genome Research Institute at the National Institutes of Health.

Wolf, who will be based at Komen’s headquarters in Dallas and report to Salerno, will lead Komen’s outreach to charitable foundations and individual donors, along with major fundraising events and planned giving programs.
