Baker Motor Company Charleston Fashion Week® Reveals Full Schedule for March 2014 Event

Timo Weiland, Brandon Sun, Hunter Bell, and David Hart Announced as Featured Designers

CHARLESTON, S.C.--()--Baker Motor Company Charleston Fashion Week® 2014 (“CFW”), announces its full runway schedule to be held March 18 – 22, 2014 under the tents in Marion Square, Charleston, SC. Showcasing both established and emerging fashion designers, Charleston Fashion Week® has become one of the premier fashion events in North America.

Each night CFW will feature runway shows by five emerging designer contestants, select local retailers, and featured designers, headlined by Timo Weiland on Saturday March 22, 2014.

The full featured designer schedule is as follows:

In addition to the schedule above, twenty emerging designers will be competing throughout the week to make it to the finals on Saturday, March 22, 2014 and be crowned the Grand Prize Winner. Competing for a prize package valued at over $20,000, the Emerging Designer Winner will be judged by a VIP Fashion Panel, headlined by Fern Mallis (the Creator of New York Fashion Week, host of 92Y Fashion Icons series & SiriusXM Fashion Insiders w/Fern Mallis), and includes some of the designers above as well as designer Antonio Azzuolo.

About Timo Weiland

Timo Weiland is both the co-founder and creative director of his self-named brand, Timo Weiland. Born in rural Nebraska and raised between Jacksonville, Florida and New York City, Timo graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and later collaborated with designers Alan Eckstein and Donna Kang to produce a men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collection in 2010. Timo Weiland works with established luxury retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Barney’s, and Moda Operandi. Celebrities the likes of Krysten Ritter, Levin Rambin, and Taylor Lautner are supporters of Timo Weiland and are often seen wearing their designs on the red carpet. Weiland was selected to sit on the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Fashion Incubator programs and was also an International Woolmark prize finalist in 2013. In 2011, Timo Weiland was first nominated for the Ecco Domani Foundation Award for his women’s and men’s lines and later won the award in 2014.

About Brandon Sun

Brandon Sun began his fashion career after graduating from Parsons School of Design where he was honored with the coveted “Designer of the Year” title and the Gold Thimble. After his graduation, Brandon began working with distinguished American luxury brands: J.Mendel and Oscar de la Renta. Within five years at J.Mendel, Brandon rose from Design Assistant to Designer, honing his technique in couture, tailoring, ready-to-wear, and fur. Brandon joined Oscar de la Renta as Design Director for the fur division, and later he launched his own signature collection of luxury fur accessories with distinguished international retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Hirshleifers, and others. In 2012, Brandon presented a full collection of ready-to-wear and fur coats during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week securing an exclusive launch with Neiman Marcus and international distribution.

About Hunter Bell

Hunter Bell, founded in 2006 by the Southern born Hunter Bell, is a women’s contemporary fashion line with feminine flair that is recognized for its whimsical and flirty designs. Each collection is filled with bold colors, unique detailing and abstract prints. Whether it is in a color palette, a vintage fabric, or women on the streets of New York, Hunter is always finding inspiration in her surroundings. Past collections have been inspired by Palm Springs Ace Hotel and a desert Safari. Consisting of structured dresses, classic blouses and tailored jackets, Hunter Bell is carried in 100 boutiques nationwide, including Anthropologie.

About David Hart

Born in Annapolis, Maryland, David Hart received the Fashion Group International Scholarship Award and moved to New York City to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology. In 2004, he received his BFA in fashion design, with a specialization in evening wear and tailoring. Over the next seven years, Hart designed for Anna Sui, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren. In 2009, Hart launched his independent neckwear line, David Hart & Co., a collection of luxury men’s accessories that sold internationally at luxury retailers including Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and others. He debuted his first full, ready-to-wear collection of menswear in 2013 during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Hart prides himself on creating confident yet approachable clothing for the modern gentleman. Dedicated to supporting New York City’s disappearing Garment District and other small family-run textile mills, Hart produces all of his clothing and fabrics in the United States, Italy, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

About Mark Ingram

When Mark Ingram Atelier opened in 2002, it was heralded by The New York Times and Woman’s Wear Daily. Since then, the boutique, which carries internationally renowned labels like Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, and Lela Rose, as well as newcomer talents like Tara LaTour and Johanna Johnson, has continued to receive numerous honors from the international fashion and bridal press. Recognized as one of the country’s leading “wedding gurus” by The New York Times, Ingram has also been touted as an industry expert by Martha Stewart Weddings, and is a regular in any noteworthy national bridal trend casting report. Most recently, Ingram served as the official “gown guru” expert for WEtv and Wedding Central, appeared as himself on TV’s hit show Gossip Girl, and was named to Town & Country Weddings’ prestigious Wedding Advisory Council.
