LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CH2M HILL is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Colin Skipper as Vice President and Global Oil & Gas Market Sector Leader within the firm’s Ports & Maritime Group.

In his new role, Dr. Skipper will work with major oil and gas companies and independent operators throughout the world on the planning, design, and construction of new greenfield oil and gas terminals, as well as the rehabilitation and upgrading of existing terminals. He will also support the firm’s experienced engineers as they focus on all aspects of oil and gas marine terminals, including vessel berthing facilities, loading/unloading systems, safety, fire protection, and utility systems.
Dr. Skipper brings more than 25 years of experience in the planning and execution of engineering and environmental studies in support of major oil and gas, power and petro-chemical projects worldwide. He has led teams at all stages of projects, from planning and site selection, through to conceptual design, front end engineering design (FEED) and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) execution.
Dr. Skipper has worked with owners and EPC contractors on a number of high-profile mega liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects, providing solutions to difficult marine challenges in remote locations. He has proven, in-depth experience delivering major design and engineering projects for the energy industry, with strong technical expertise in marine work.
Dr. Skipper will be based in the firm’s Swindon office, but will be working globally in support of CH2M HILL’s customers.
