PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Comcast Corporation announced today that Jason S. Armstrong will join the company as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations in early January 2014. He will report to Michael Angelakis, Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer, Comcast Corporation.

Mr. Armstrong comes to Comcast after spending 13 years at Goldman Sachs where he most recently served as Managing Director, Deputy Business Unit Leader of the firm’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications Research Group. He was also lead analyst for the North American Communications Services Equity Research Group with principal coverage of the cable, satellite, telecommunication services, wireless towers, and data centers industries. Mr. Armstrong received recognition from The Wall Street Journal, Institutional Investor Magazine and Business Insider as a top research analyst. In addition, he consistently ranked in the top three in StarMine for estimate accuracy and stock picking accuracy in the U.S. Wireline Telecom, U.S. Wireless Telecom, and U.S. Media sub-sectors. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Armstrong worked at Ernst & Young in Chicago in the Strategy and Corporate Finance Group. He earned a B.S. degree in Economics from Duke University.
Mr. Armstrong succeeds Marlene S. Dooner who was recently appointed to the newly created role of Executive Vice President, Hispanic Enterprises and Content for NBCUniversal.
