MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chris Schoenrock, Vice President of Market Development for Minneapolis-based Healthland Inc., has been named a member of a new Population Health Task Force of HIMSS – the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
Healthland is a leading provider of healthcare information technology solutions to rural community and critical access hospitals.
The Population Health Task Force is an extension of the HIMSS Clinical and Business Intelligence initiative intended to provide members practical guidance and unbiased information about how to harness the power of healthcare data. It will help develop the strategies, tools and resources surrounding data and analytics that will help healthcare organizations execute population health management initiatives.
Schoenrock said, “Population Health Management can’t be achieved without a strong data management core for each healthcare organization. I’m looking forward to working on this Task Force to develop strategies and recommendations that help providers achieve the major goals of Population Health Management – improving coordination of care across all healthcare settings and providing healthful living for entire populations of citizens over the long term.
“In particular, I plan to represent the needs of rural and small critical access hospitals,” he said.
The Task Force is chaired by Bill Beach, PhD, Program Chair, Health Services Administration, Hodges University.
Schoenrock is a 22-year veteran of Healthland Inc., with experience in software implementation and support, field sales and market development.
