STERLING, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fixmo, a leading provider of defense-grade mobile security solutions, today announced it was selected to provide mobile data protection and cyber security solutions for the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as part of a $16 million contract for managing mobile devices within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). As a critical element of the Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Store (MAS) contract awarded to Digital Management, Inc. (DMI), Fixmo’s technology will be used to secure mobile Email and Browsing, and to protect the integrity and compliance of DISA-managed mobile devices. The DISA MDM/MAS contract, which shall be the enterprise-wide solution across the DoD, represents the U.S. Federal Government’s largest investment to-date to secure mobile devices.
The agreement for MDM and MAS technology sets the stage for a digital ecosystem that will operate and assure the integrity and security of mobile devices that connect with the DoD networks for base year plus four six-month option periods on this contract. In all, the agreement has the potential to protect up to 100,000 smartphones and tablets in its first year and up to 300,000—all Defense mobile users—in the final option period, according to DISA. - Fixmo SafeZone Secure Workspace for application containerization, multi-factor user authentication, FIPS 140-2 AES 256-bit encryption of data-at-rest and data-in-transit, and on-device data leakage prevention (DLP)
- Fixmo Enterprise Server for secure remote access to private DOD networks
- Fixmo Sentinel Integrity Services for device integrity verification, compromise detection and policy compliance reporting
Fixmo’s mobile security and risk management solutions have been developed under Co-operative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA) with the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA).
