Kendall Law Group Announces Jury Awards Former Bus Monitor over $166,000 in Employment Discrimination Lawsuit

DALLAS--()--The Kendall Law Group announces that a Dallas County jury has awarded over $166,000 to a former bus monitor for Dallas County Schools. Paul Green sued Dallas County Schools after he was terminated following an incontinent event during work, caused by his medical condition.

In the lawsuit filed in Dallas County District Court, Green alleged his congestive heart failure and medications that he takes for the disease caused him to lose control of his bladder, after the bus driver he worked with refused to stop to allow Green to use the restroom.

The jury of eleven women and one man agreed, and awarded Green $41,292 in lost wages and benefits, and $125,000 in damages for humiliation and mental anguish. “We always felt confident that if presented with the facts, a jury would see that Mr. Green was discriminated against because of his disability,” said Mr. Green’s lead attorney, Matthew Scott from the Kendall Law Group. The jury verdict came after four days of testimony and several hours of deliberation. “At the end of the day, the jury fairly compensated Mr. Green for what he lost, and for what he went through. And for that, we are very grateful,” said Scott.
