SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SwiftStack, a technology innovator of private cloud storage for modern applications, today announced that Joe Arnold, CEO at SwiftStack will be speaking at the upcoming OpenStack Summit, taking place November 5-8, 2013 in Hong Kong. The Summit will bring together the cloud computing community and feature case studies regarding the adoption of OpenStack software.
During the session “Global Clusters with OpenStack Swift,” Arnold will give a live demonstration of the latest feature of OpenStack Swift – global clusters, showing how Swift can be used for disaster recovery and multi-site access to reduce application latency. He will also participate in a joint session with Dan Wilson, senior manager of global infrastructure architecture at Concur, the global leader in integrated travel and expense management, who will provide details regarding Concur’s application and use of storage, and why they chose SwiftStack.
Additionally, Arnold will participate on a panel on software-defined storage to discuss how SwiftStack helps customers deliver storage-as-a-service. John Dickinson, director of technology at SwiftStack and Martin Lanner, engagement manager at SwiftStack, will also conduct a workshop on deploying OpenStack Swift, where attendees will be guided through the architecture of Swift and a step-by-step installation from the ground up.
