RIVERSIDE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Green Automotive Company (OTC: GACR) today announced that it has appointed business leaders Peter C. Leeds and Carter Read to its Board of Directors.

A renowned businessman, Peter C. Leeds first established his reputation as a successful promoter and manager of music icons Blondie, Roberta Flack, and Les McCann. Following his music industry career, Peter created a video production company that subsequently produced The Better Homes and Gardens Idea Notebook for USA Network. He has also developed a number of financial structures and business arrangements for a wide variety of clients. These have included KULFF Medical and Dr. Robert Jarvic (creator of the Jarvic artificial heart), among many others. In addition, Peter has served on the board and acted as VP for both The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and The Caedmon School. A major shareholder in GAC, Peter is a passionate supporter of the automotive industry moving to zero emission solutions.
Currently serving as president of Newport Coachworks, a subsidiary of Green Automotive Company, Carter Read has more than three decades of experience in the bus and limousine manufacturing business. Regarded as an industry innovator committed to setting new standards of product quality, Carter had previously led Tiffany Coachworks as its president for 23 years. During his tenure the vehicles were widely praised for their quality, reliability, style and value.
As a direct result of Carter’s efforts, Newport Coachworks is now seen as one of the most innovative bus manufacturing companies in North America. In a record time of six months Carter and his team have completed tooling for four models of shuttle buses.
