Achvr Raises $1.25 Million & Announces Public Beta Launch

New Digital Platform Helps Users Live More Fulfilling Lives By Achieving First Time Experiences

BOSTON--()--Achvr, the “gamified” social platform that enables users to discover, track and share their first time experiences, today announced its launch into public beta after raising $1.25 million in seed funding from private angel investors. With Achvr, users discover and set goals, such as learning to play the guitar or climbing Mount Everest, and earn points for achieving those goals.

The Acvhr platform, available online and through an iPhone app, works by applying familiar game mechanics to fifteen categories of life, including arts & culture, food & drink, sports and travel. Users’ real life goals and experiences are paired with the motivational aspects of gaming and social influence to inspire them to try new things. Through social connections, users can share, collaborate and even compete with friends to achieve their goals.
