LEAWOOD, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Beginning today Federal employees are invited to stop by AMC Theatres® locations to enjoy a movie and receive a free small popcorn.
To receive the offer, good for one free small popcorn per visit or credit toward a larger size, guests must present a valid government or military ID at the concession stand at any AMC. The offer is good until common sense is restored in Washington D.C., or, more likely, until the shutdown ends or we run out of free popcorn. Consistent with past free popcorn giveaways on Tax Day Weekend, the purchase of a ticket is not necessary to receive the offer.
“There are hundreds of thousands of federal workers whose lives are being impacted,” said John McDonald, executive vice president of Operations at AMC. “While we can’t do anything to resolve gridlock in Washington D.C., we can provide a few hours of entertainment, and free popcorn, while they wait to get back to work.”
Additionally, AMC always offers a variety of value pricing options for guests at all of our locations around the country, including great value on movie tickets before noon on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
