SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Viejas Casino & Resort set out to break TWO Guinness World Records today, but ended up breaking THREE.
At 9 a.m. today, Viejas broke the Guinness World Record for the Largest Deck of Cards Ever Played… with a massive deck measuring over 3’ by 4’ and weighing 117 pounds.
Then at 6 p.m. Viejas broke a Guinness World Record for The Most Bottles of Wine Opened Simultaneously -- 639 bottles, breaking the old record of 474.
Recalling their research on different Guinness World Records, Viejas General Manager Chris Kelley realized there were already enough people gathered for the wine event to break another Guinness Record – the Most People Giving “High Fives” at one time. The existing record of 405 High Fives was broken today at Viejas, with 684 people completing High Fives at one time.
Two official Adjudicators from the Guinness organization were on hand to witness all three World Records today and presented official certificates.
