SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At next week’s Cloud Identity Summit 2013, Dr. Sameer Bhalotra, former White House Senior Director for Cybersecurity and current Chief Operating Officer at Impermium, will discuss identity management and share his experiences from two different worlds: the White House and Silicon Valley.
In his session, Dr. Bhalotra will discuss how online identity is the next cybersecurity battleground, where user accounts are compromised with increasingly alarming results. As the former White House lead for developing and managing the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC), he will provide an inside look at the government’s debates leading up to the President signing it in 2011, along with lessons learned from government and private sector reactions. Now in Silicon Valley, Dr. Bhalotra will present his thoughts on how the tech epicenter should think about multi-factor authentication and how identity intelligence can serve as a game changer.
“Identity management is a growing strategic challenge for the nation, affecting all industries,” said Bhalotra. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to share my experiences both as a government leader in Washington and as a startup entrepreneur in California, and to join the industry’s leading minds at this year’s Cloud Identity Summit.”
Dr. Bhalotra will present on Thursday, July 11th, at the Cloud Identity Summit 2013 hosted by Ping Identity®, taking place at the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, California.
