EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GEO Semiconductor, SpeechFX and VoiceVault jointly announce the launch of Granta® - the next generation of smart home automation technology. Granta® contains innovative voice and vision control capabilities designed to enable natural user interfaces for home security and entertainment control devices.
Granta® was recently demonstrated at the Voice Biometrics Conference in San Francisco and is initially targeted at the home security, smart TV and entertainment markets.
Granta® allows end users to personalize how they interact and control devices and systems in the home. The technology enables them to use hand gestures or the unique characteristics of their voice to disarm an alarm; turn on the lights; adjust the thermostat with the wave of a hand; unlock the front door by saying “open;” or remotely view the whole living room using a fisheye lens in the smoke alarm. Who you are as well as the command or gesture you make are the controlling factors.
By combining their market leading technologies, GEO Semiconductor, SpeechFX and VoiceVault are able to embed voice and vision algorithms on a tiny IC in any device in the home to deliver highly accurate voice detection, voice biometric security and gesture video analytics at low power and low cost.
