GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Envision Healthcare Corporation (Envision Healthcare) today announced that Edward “Ted” Van Horne has been appointed president of American Medical Response (AMR), the corporation’s medical transportation business segment. Mr. Van Horne most recently served as the chief executive officer for AMR’s South Region.
Mr. Van Horne is well known in the industry as a visionary and committed leader. His innovative approach to EMS system design and his focus on clinical and operational excellence and employee empowerment have led to significant advances in numerous markets.

Mr. Van Horne began his career in emergency medical services 24 years ago and has served in senior management positions at AMR since 2003. Mr. Van Horne holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
