Ipanema Technologies Announces 14 Partnerships for AppsWork in the US within Six Months of Launch

Ipanema’s AppsWork Allows Small Businesses in the US to Benefit from Ipanema’s Application Performance Guarantee as-a-Service

New Research from Ipanema Technologies Confirms Corporate Networking Budgets Rising alongside Application Performance Problems in the US

BOSTON--()--Ipanema Technologies, the industry leader in Application Performance Guarantee for business efficiency, today announced that it has secured 14 US partners since the launch of its AppsWork service six months ago and a clear attraction from enterprises to solve their more frequent and costly application performance issues.

AppsWork allows businesses to guarantee application performance across the WAN and helps address concerns including; poor end-user experience, reliability and increased costs associated with on-premise and cloud-based business applications.

According to a recent study by Ipanema in the US and Europe entitled KillerApps 2013, businesses in the US report that:

  • Business applications have suffered performance problems for 90% of firms in the last 12 months.
  • 86% of US organizations stated that their corporate networking budgets increased in the last 12 months, compared to 52% globally.
  • 69% of US organizations confirmed that application performance problems such as slowness or non-responsiveness are becoming more frequent in their organizations.

“It’s amazing to see how many small and medium sized businesses are looking for services that guarantee application performance,” said Rogier van der Wal, Vice President Cloud Services, Ipanema Technologies. “The KillerApps survey confirms this sentiment, both globally but particularly here in the US. The interest from our new partners is further evidence that businesses are struggling with application performance and need a service that can easily be integrated as they continue their migration to the cloud. With new solutions such as unified communications, including MS Lync as well as applications such as MS Office 365 becoming increasingly common in the workplace, networks are becoming more strained. Businesses cannot let this situation continue as it has a direct link to end user experience and productivity. Our new partnerships allow organizations to better control these applications on their networks.”

Of the 14 new partners, eight have been through Ipanema’s certification process and are official certified partners. Geographically, the partners are distributed throughout the US and can serve customers in a variety of locations without cannibalizing each other’s target markets. The combined reach of the partners includes; Aqueduct Technologies in Massachusetts; Bernal Consultants in Texas; Computer Service Partners in North Carolina; Dox Electronics in New York; Fusion Technology Solutions, KME Systems, Lan Solution, TSC Enterprises in California; Innovative Solutions and Consulting in New Mexico; Network Medis in Minneapolis; PC Tronic’s Solution in Connecticut; Single Path in Illinois; Virtucom in Georgia; and Weidenhammer Systems Corporation in Pennsylvania.

Many of the partners also specialize in verticals such as virtualization (especially Virtual Desktop Integration), healthcare, manufacturing and education. Weidenhammer Systems Corporation, for example, has extensive reach within the education sector.

“We are delighted to include AppsWork as part of our managed services,” said Scott Schulze, Director of Operations at Fusion Technology Solutions. “We chose AppsWork because it’s easy for us to deploy, it fits the needs of our customers and is easy for them to consume and most importantly, it’s affordable.”

“Ipanema recognized the growing need for enterprises to guarantee their application performance and for the first time we can deliver an easy and efficient service to small businesses,” said Mark Essayian, CEO and Founder of KME Systems. “AppsWork is channel friendly and integrates nicely within our suite of solutions. The service is an enabling technology that means whichever networked application we are deploying for a customer, be it UC or cloud apps, we know that Ipanema’s technology will guarantee they perform in line with the needs of our customer.”
