MUMBAI, India--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI), a leading provider of investment decision support tools worldwide, including indices, portfolio risk and performance analytics and corporate governance services, announced today that Chandru Badrinarayanan has joined the firm as Executive Director and Head of Sales in India.
In this newly created role, Mr Badrinarayanan is responsible for new business development for MSCI’s index, portfolio risk and performance analytics products and services throughout India and its neighbouring countries, as well as maintaining existing client relationships. Working alongside the Consultant, Client Service and Product Development Teams based in Mumbai and globally, one of his key objectives is to expand MSCI’s business in the region through identifying local market trends and ensuring MSCI’s products and services meet the needs of the local market. Based in Mumbai, Mr Badrinarayanan reports to Sabrina Principi, Executive Director and Head of EMEAI Emerging Market Sales at MSCI.

Before joining MSCI, Mr Badrinarayanan spent nearly 12 years at CRISIL Limited (a Standard & Poor’s company) where he held several director-level business development roles, including responsibility for the development and promotion of their risk solutions business. Prior to joining CRISIL, he was a consultant at Bridgenews (India) Limited for one year and spent nine years at Corporation Bank (Mumbai) in both front and back office roles.
Mr Badrinarayanan has a Bachelor of Science from Osmania University, is a Chartered Financial Analyst from ICFAI, a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and this year will complete a Leadership Program for Senior Indian Executives at INSEAD Business School.
