MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Healthland, America's market leader of healthcare information technology (HIT) solutions for rural hospitals, announced today that Washington’s Ocean Beach Hospital has selected the Healthland Centriq electronic health record (EHR) solution.
Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinics is an integrated healthcare organization committed to providing high quality, patient-focused care for its growing coastal community. Located, in Ilwaco, Wash., the critical access hospital’s wide range of medical services includes emergency care, wellness programs, orthopedic surgery and cardiac rehabilitation.
“When looking for an EHR solution, we created a review team to consider the leading HIT vendors in the marketplace,” said Kendall Sawa, Ocean Beach Hospital CEO. “Our team spent one year in the reviewing process. After seeing a demonstration of the Healthland Centriq solution, we knew it was the right fit for our organization. Our decision to partner with Healthland was strongly based upon usability for our staff. We also felt that Centriq was designed specifically for a small, critical access hospital.”
“At Healthland, we are committed to serving rural healthcare providers,” said Tom Ziel, Healthland Senior Vice President of Sales. “Centriq is the only fully integrated EHR solution in the marketplace designed to enable small rural and critical access hospitals to meet and exceed the needs of their communities today and into the future.
“Healthland Centriq does this while providing quick and easy access to patient data, preventative care tools that allow providers to be proactive and increased productivity to allow more time for patient care and less time on paperwork,” Ziel said. “As a result, providers improve patient outcomes across all care settings in the community, including inpatient, clinic, emergency department and long-term care.”
Ocean Beach Hospital purchased Centriq Financials, Clinicals, and Emergency Department systems. The critical access hospital is currently implementing the solution and expects to “go live” on the system before the end of 2013.
“Strong customer support and partnership was also very important to us,” added Sawa. “I have been very impressed at the commitment and resources that Healthland has applied to help us succeed.”
