Skanska has been awarded a contract to operate and maintain oil fields in the department of Casanare, Colombia. The contract is a joint venture with a local company. The total amount of the contract is USD 70 M, about SEK 455 M, of which Skanska’s share is 73 percent, amounting to a total of USD 51 M, about SEK 331 M. The customer is Ecopetrol S.A., the biggest company in the country and the main oil and gas company in Colombia. The order will be included in order bookings Skanska LA for the first quarter 2013.
Skanska will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of 22 oil wells, two water injection wells, surface facilities, 80 kilometers of flow lines and the gas, oil and water treatment.
Works are scheduled to commence in March 2013 and will be completed in the first quarter of 2017.
