IN.gov Launches Real Estate License Online Transfers

Real estate license online transfers made easy & efficient

INDIANAPOLIS--()--IN.gov and the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency launched the Real Estate License Online Transfers application in an effort to provide an online system that will increase real estate license transfer efficiency.

The Indiana Professional Licensing Agency processes transfers of salespersons, brokers, and principal brokers from one broker association or status to another. This process, until now, required the submission of a paper form by the real estate licensee by mail or in person at the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency downtown Indianapolis office. The paper process can sometimes take up to 7 to 10 days to complete.

“We are continuing to identify current paper processes that make sense for both the constituents and the agency to convert into online applications that improve turn-around time and streamline processes,” says Jeanette Langford, Director of the Commission. “We look forward to seeing the increased efficiencies with license transfers with this application and reduce the amount of time it takes to complete a transfer request.”

Associate Brokers and Salespersons with a current license will be able to transfer their license to another broker or company, move their license to a referral status, or move their license to an unassigned or inactive status. Principal Brokers will be able to create an account and approve or deny license transfer requests.
