Travelocity Helps Travelers Navigate Airports During Thanksgiving Rush

Travelocity Turkey Task Force, the Authority on Thanksgiving Travel, Provides Updates from Airports

SOUTHLAKE, Texas--()--Travelocity’s 12th Annual Turkey Task Force members will be positioned at ten high-traffic airports across the country the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving. These travel experts will be visiting with travelers, taking photos and, most importantly, providing updates on security wait times, cancellations, delays, crowd conditions and more.

“It’s no secret that Thanksgiving travel can be stressful,” said Courtney Scott, senior editor at Travelocity. “With millions of Americans taking to the skies this holiday, Travelocity is once again sending its team to the nation’s busiest airports to relay pertinent information and help ease the travel hassle.”

Members of the task force will be onsite at the following airports Tuesday, Nov. 20 and Wednesday, Nov. 21:

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (Atlanta)

Los Angeles International Airport (Los Angeles)

Chicago O’Hare (Chicago)

Miami International Airport (Miami)

Dallas / Fort Worth International (Dallas)

LaGuardia Airport (New York)

Denver International Airport (Denver)

San Francisco International Airport (San Francisco)

McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas)

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (Washington, DC)

Nearly 24 million travelers are expected to fly from Friday, Nov. 16 – Tuesday, Nov. 27, according to Airlines for America. With airlines cutting the number of flights throughout the year and into the holiday season, travelers should prepare for crowded airports and full planes. For real-time status reports, flight tracking tools and holiday travel tips, travelers can consult The Window Seat travel blog.

Travelers should be on the lookout for the Travelocity Roaming Gnome as he himself will be onsite at the airports providing helpful travel tidbits and taking photos with his loyal fans and followers. Travelers can share their own information on holiday travel conditions by tweeting along with Travelocity’s Turkey Task Force @Travelocity, using the hashtag #TTF.
