ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Morpho (Safran group), the leading provider of identification systems, is pleased to announce that its US subsidiary, MorphoTrak, was selected by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to provide MorphoBIS, its automated Biometric Identification System, for Colorado’s new state-wide system.

Not only will CBI’s new system handle ten-prints and latent, including lights–out processing with unrivalled speed and accuracy, but also matching of palm prints, mobile two-finger searches, as well as the collection and storage of mugshots, scars, marks and tattoos. The system’s efficient processing of electronic biometric records will help CBI shift toward a fully paperless background check operation.
